1. Alloy 20 (N08020) nickel-based alloy has good thermal working performance, and the forging temperature of the ingot is 1110℃ ~ 1140℃. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the deformation degree of the forging and the final forging temperature.

2. Alloy 20 (N08020) nickel-based alloy has excellent welding performance and can be connected by various methods such as primary arc welding, argon arc welding, resistance welding and brazing. Large or complex welded structural parts should be annealed at 870℃ for 1h after dissolution welding to eliminate welding stress.

3. Alloy 20 (N08020) nickel-based alloy must be machined after heat treatment. Due to the work hardening of the material, it is better to use lower cutting speed and refeed tool than the standard austenitic stainless steel for machining low alloy before it can be machined under the cold hardened surface.
